In 1991, Harlan and Kay Hanson opened their doors as Worldwide Refinishing Systems. Over the years, the company has evolved from a "bathtub refinishing" company, to DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen, a full-service remodeling company, specializing in kitchen and bathroom remodeling. The Hansons became franchise owners because the company's philosophy matched their own, emphasizing style and excellent customer service. They were also excited about the fact that they would be able to be a local company with national buying power.

DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen has remodeled over 900 kitchens and baths in the surrounding nine county area. In September 2005, DreamMaker moved their location to Rochester to become more centrally located to their southern Minnesota clientele.

Their support staff has grown as well to better serve their clients. They have trained and experienced sales associates and installers that understand the remodeling industry.

Harlan and Kay have kept busy raising a family and operating DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen during their 24 years in West Concord, Minnesota. They are extremely active in their church, community, Rochester Area Builders Association, The Remodelors Council, and Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.
